Here's my attempt at a walk cycle. It's still rather stiff and I need to refine it more, especially the arm that is closest to the viewer. The robot's head moves a little too much right now.

I found out through Facebook,(of all places) that I was nominated for Individual Achievement Category for "Production Design in a Television Production"!!! Of course this doesn't guarantee I'll win, hardly so, as competition is stiff! But, I'm excited that I even got a chance! Thanks everyone for all your support and well wishes!

After working on this, I see a bunch of things I'd like to change, so it's still a work in progress. But I'm actually enjoying the animation process in maya much more than I did when I tried animating in maya a few years back. I think I finally understand the process better. Keep tuned and I'll have more stuff up soon.

So, I'm trying to learn Maya and here is a model I'm trying to do of my son. It's coming along, but still has a LONG way to go! I'm hoping I can get some hair on this bald boy and do some facial animation on it once I'm satisfied with the look of this model.

Here are 2 of some of my first color stylings done for Foster's. The Layout is by the amazing Dave Dunnet. I've done more color as freelance before, but this one is different in that it was supposed to have a completely different feel than the regular show. Call it Psychydellic! I had lots of fun with these. I'll be doing Color Styling fulltime from Oct. Wish me luck!

I'm taking a class called "Animal Character Design" with David Coleman, he's AWESOME! I'm really trying hard to push myself towards a looser style, and much less realistic that I'm used to. We were drawing Rhinos in class and I was trying to get different styles and feelings.

I'm sorry it's been so long since I posted anything new... I've been sooo busy at work, home and freelance! Anyhow, I'm also taking a class in Maya, and I created this Interior using the software... The Lighting is still in the works and so are the colors.

I took a workshop with Nathan Fowkes who is an AMAZING Vis Dev guy at Dreamworks since Prince of Egypt. He taught us some great stuff during a 2-1/2 hour lecture, then let us roam out at the park to try our hand at the new wisdom he shared with us. Here's my attempt.

OK, I tried posting this before and it was turning out really weird, finally figured out that the file was saved as a cmyk instead of rgb, and that's what was causing the crazy psychadellic colors. I did this piece for a friend who wanted a cool BG for her pins. I put up the sketch version and the final with the Pins super inposed. The pins are supposed to be major collectors items, each costing approx $25+. She plans on selling these prints of these backgrounds and having customers mount their own collector's pins on them.
